چکیده

The objective of the present study was to determine dietary effect different growth stages rapeseed (Brassica rapa L.) on nutrient intake and digestibility, nitrogen balance, rumen fermentation kinetics in sheep. Four treatments were utilised. A basal control diet based alfalfa hay, oat soybean meal corn grain. Then hay replaced with 300 g/kg DM forage harvested at three stages: Vegetative, Flowering Pod. In vitro gas production determined using cannulated Suffolk sheep a completely randomised design, nutrients digestibility each four 4 × Latin square design 21 d periods consisting 14 for adaptation 7 sample collection. Feed excretion faeces urine recorded. Dry matter higher Pod compared Vegetative Flowering. dry matter, organic neutral detergent fibre acid similar among treatments. Nitrogen lower (P > .05). yield 24 h < .05) than rest Overall, inclusion pod stage as substitute is an alternative source protein without affecting digestibility.HighlightsEffect determinedNutrient between rapeseedIn

Effect of Propionibacteria Supplementation to Sheep Diets on Rumen Fermentation, Nutrients Digestibility and Blood Metabolites

Background: This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of supplementing ruminant ration with propionibacterium P169 by using 3X3 Latin square Rahmani rams on feed intake, nutrients digestibility, rumen fermentation, blood plasma metabolites. Methods: Rams were divided into three groups with three successive experimental periods. Each period consisted of 21 days. Animals were fed on: rati...

Effect of a viable yeast culture on digestibility and rumen fermentation in sheep fed different types of diets.

Five mature wethers fitted with rumen fistulas were fed grass hay and a sugarbeet-pulp-based concentrate or maize silage and a cereal-based concentrate (50/50 digestible organic matter basis), or without with 5 g yeast supplement (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Biosaf) per day in a latin square design. Diets were given for a 28-d adaptation period, followed by a 10-d collection period to determine d...

OBJECTIVE The objective of this study was to evaluate the intake and nutrient digestibility, nitrogen balance and ruminal ammonia nitrogen in lambs of diets containing different levels of residual frying oil. METHODS Levels of 0, 20, 40, 60, and 80 g/kg dry matter (DM) base of residual frying oil in the diets of lambs were evaluated. Five castrated lambs with initial body weights of 36.8±3.3 ...
